Tank PVE Build

This is a general strategy for Gunlancers who opt for a more tank-focused playstyle by using combat readiness sculpting. Players should prioritize unlocking level 1 of this engraving first, as its higher levels will not provide more power than other engravings’ more elevated levels.

Next, rotate as follows:

  • Shout of Hatred
  • Bash
  • Guardian’s Thunderbolt or Shield Charge

Once they’re cool, use Guardian’s Thunderbolt and Shield Shock.

This build requires 284 skill points. If you’ve unlocked it, you’ll need to collect some additional skill points from Shushire or Roundel.

DPS PVE Build

Here’s a common strategy for gunners who choose a more damage-focused playstyle through the use of one-person knight sculpting. When your four critical skills are prepared, most of your injury will burst to get a brief time. The rotation for maximum burst harm need to be as follows:

  • Shout of Hatred
  • Bash
  • Surge Cannon
  • Charged Stinger

It is possible to bash two more instances between just about every burst since it includes a ten 2nd cooldown. While the other three are on cooldown, you can use Dash Upper Fire, Fire Bullet, and Gunlance Shot to heal damage involving burst windows.

To ensure the best damage, use the Gunlancer’s Status Skill Shield before your burst damage rotation to ensure you don’t get interrupted.

This construct involves 328 ability points that will require collecting almost all of Shushire and Rohendel’s skill factors.

Feel free to swap out the Gunlance Shot for a Counter Gunlance with Tripod 1: Concussion for a very high stagger ability.

PVP Build

Truly feel free to alter any abilities you like, depending on your playstyle and how you see fit.

Practical Stuns:

  • Counter Gunlance (Tripod 3: Lightning Strike Spear)
  • Hook Chain > Bash
  • Guardian’s Thunderbolt (Tripod 3: Electrocution)

Knock-up/down combo
Shield Charge (Tripod three: Unending Assault) > Dash Upper Fire

Attempt to use Leap Assault with all the Tripod three: Leap for some mobility and Tripod two: Shockwave for further knock up possible.

After being stunned, the primary source of damage will be via Surge Cannon or Gunlance Shot. Surge Cannon has a long cast time, so be sure to complete these stuns before using them.

The best Gunslinger PvP Awakening skill is the Guardian’s Protection, as it has a very high defense. However, it’s more helpful if your team finds it more beneficial to deal more damage with the Judgment Gun.

Combat

For Typical packs of enemies, the Gunlancer AoE rotation is:
Guardian’s Thunderbolt > Sharp Gunlance > Any other Fillers

For Bosses, the Gunlancer Single Target rotation is:
Identity Shield (if prepared) > Shout of Hatred > Charged Stinger > Gunlance Shot > Any other Fillers

Conclusion
Gunners are the closest you’ll get to a tanking career in Lost Ark. They focus on having bosses face them, leaving their rear exposed to party members and mitigating damage. For Gunlancer, the choice of Tank or DPS depends on the player’s preferences. Of course, you can also have other build guides as long as the player likes them. Finally, if you choose Gunlancer Class, this build guide can hopefully help you.
