Escape from Tarkov: All Key Combinations Guide

All key combinations used in the game Escape from Tarkov. It will help you use cover more efficiently, better conduct a battle, and more ergonomically use the stash and merchant menus. We will only consider those keys and combinations that are not listed in the game control menu.

Movement, Body Control

Keyboard shortcuts and description	The result of using
W, A, S, D – character movement
Shift + W – run forward
Q, E – body tilts to the left / right. Among players, frequent pressing of these keys signifies peaceful intentions.
SPACEBAR – jump
C – sit down / stand up
C + rotation of the mouse wheel – smooth change of squat depth
Alt + W, A, S, D – smooth control of body position (pressing the Q, E buttons resets the position to standard)
Alt + Q – Tilt with a step to the left Alt + E – tilt with a step to the right
Alt + A – smooth tilt to the left Alt + D – smooth tilt to the right
Alt + W – Blind shooting from above
Alt + S – Side Blind Shooting
SCM (hold down the mouse wheel) – free view when moving (head rotation)
Ctrl + rotate the mouse wheel – smoothly change the speed of movement
Caps Lock – quick switch between step and run, includes maximum / minimum movement speed

Weapon Interaction

Keyboard shortcuts and description	The result of using
RMB – Aim / Alternate Throw / Alternate Hit
LMB – shot / throw / strike
1 – pick up a weapon from a holster (pistol); 2 – pick up a weapon on a belt; 3 – take up arms behind the back; 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0 – assignable quick access slot (you can use items only in pockets and offloads)
L – examine the weapon in the hands
Alt + B – check firing mode
Alt + T – check the remaining ammo in the store
Shift + T – check the cartridge in the chamber
B – cyclic change of fire mode (single, automatic or burst, if available)
Alt + L – fold / unfold the stock
Ctrl + RMB – switch between installed scopes (if multiple scopes are available on the weapon)
Alt + RMB – toggle the magnification of the optical sight (in aiming mode) or toggle the reticle of the collimator sight (if the scope has this capability)
T – enable / disable a tactical device (lights, LCU, tactical blocks)
Ctrl + T – switch between the modes of operation of tactical blocks, flashlights, LCU
R – reloading with the return of the empty magazine to the unloading or to the pocket. For this, there must be free space for the magazine to be replaced. If all slots are occupied, the magazine will be dropped to the ground
R + Mouse wheel (rotate) – magazine selection menu on the screen
R + R – fast reload with reset of the current magazine
G – throw a grenade (from pockets or unloading)
V – pick up a knife (ax)
V + V – fast strike with melee weapon
Shift – hold your breath while aiming

Miscellanea

F – interaction with objects
N – enable / disable night vision device (if available)
Y – say a random character phrase
Y + Y – communication menu, you can select a phrase or gesture
Y + Y + hover over a phrase or gesture + RMB – so you can bind to the shortcut keys F2 – F12
O – check the time until the end of the raid
O + O – display of available outputs from the location

Keyboard shortcuts used in stash, inventory, or trade menu. (Up)

Keyboard shortcuts and description	The result of using
Tab – open inventory
LMB (“grab” the object) + R – rotate the object 90 °
Ctrl + LMB (click on an item) – move an item from your inventory / stash to the trade menu / other inventory
Ctrl + LMB (drag the bundle to an empty cell) – split the bundle (notes, cartridges)
Alt + LMB – Pick up / put on an item, if a slot is available.
RMB – removes the item back to your inventory from the vendor’s sell menu
Mouse cursor + Delete – throw (in the raid) / destroy the item (if outside the raid)
